Mongoose Nugget - An Agile Mogul Jumper
The Mongoose Nugget is a ruggedly designed full suspension bike made to handle the most challenging slopes and jumps.
The Mongoose Nugget is made to handle various off-road terrains, such as cross country, trail riding and motocross style courses.
A full suspension bike allows the wheels to remain in contact with the surface for a longer period of time, which improves control and performance.
Power can also be continuously applied since the wheels are usually in contact with the ground at all times, improving efficiency.
The Mongoose FreeDrive Slopestyle frame of this Mongoose mountain bike is designed with 100 mm of rear travel to easily handle the roughest conditions without missing a beat. This rear travel is controlled by a Rock Shox Monarch 3.1 air spring.
The front suspension is equally resilient, and provides up to 140 mm of travel using a Rock Shox Pike 409 U-turn adjustable, 20 mm Maxle.
Power delivery is handled with a front Truvativ Hussefelt 36T chainwheel with chromoly pedal inserts in combination with a rear SRAM X.7 cassette with speeds ranging from 11 teeth up to 26. This setup offers a perfect gear range for powering up very steep climbs, to moguls and fast descents, while providing fast, clean shifts.
The rims used are SUN Rhyno Lite 32 hole and come mounted with Kenda Small Block Eight 26 x 2.35 tires, which provide the perfect amount of grip for mud, rocks and loose dirt.
Rugged terrain courses need superior brakes, and the Mongoose Nugget doesn’t disappoint.
This task is handled by Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors front and back. These provide excellent stopping power with solid reliability.
