Buying a bicycle is a little bit different than buying a car. For most people, a car is a means of transportation. Most cars are similarly constructed and are simple to use. A bike is not. There are styles that require different specifications and sometimes a “one-size-fits-all” does not work. When you are looking at bicycle classifieds, you’ll want to pick out a bike that can withstand the force of landings, has a sturdy frame and has wide tires that can grip the ground effectively. However, in order to find the right bike that suits your lifestyle, you may have to do a little research.

This cannot be said enough: ask around before buying. The absolute best idea is to test ride the bicycle and most shops will let you hop on and see how it feels.
